I have a few curious questions. If you're comfortable sharing your thoughts, I'd like to hear a little about the other kinds of experiments people have experienced here. What was the worst experiment you've been through, what experiment seem the most harmless to you?

The experiment that occur this past week was my first here in Luceti, so I'm rather curious to hear some interesting stories of people's previous experiences with these experimentation.

And also, how many of you actually like being here?

[A little later on in the day, after Alexei has finish pondering and talking to people through the journal, he decides to go and check on Casey about something. Finding that she wasn't in, he goes back to his room to call her through the journal.]

Captain. I have a request for you.

[Action]

[After all of this, Alexei can be found lingering near the Welcome Center in the Plaza. He was not in his disguise at this point, as he was there to meet with someone]

Half an hour. [nods.] Leave it to me. [and she continues to...do whatever she needs to do while keeping an eye on the time.]

[He takes a little longer to freshen up. It's his time to ponder on things. They're not very pleasant things to ponder about, events from home, about Casey being here and then those other people who brought his ambitions to an end also being here. All of this happening in only a few weeks apart. How much longer could he keep this up and walk around people until he finally snaps?

Alexei comes out, cleaned and with a change of clothes with the half hour almost being up. He sees Casey was still tending to the food, so he decides to just go and set the table for now]

[she glances back toward him when she hears him arrive.] It should be just about ready.

[He turns and walks over to her, looking at the saucepan.] It smells like it's almost ready.

[It lets it sit for a minute longer before turning off the stove and pulls off the pan lid. The smell coming from the food was almost divine]

[it...really did smell good. she's a bit surprised that the Commandant knew how to cook so well. but she doesn't comment about it and instead busies herself by putting the other side dishes on their own plates and bringing over the larger serving plate for the stew to be held in.]

[It's decent enough at least. He pours in the stew into the serving plate when Casey brings it over.]

Try some.

[at his encouragement, she takes a spoon and helps herself to a little bit.]

...This is really good! I'm glad it came out so well.

[He nods]

I'm glad that it is satisfactory. We should eat this while it's still warm. [He goes ahead and takes the serving plate over to the dining table.]

[follows with the side dishes and takes her place before they begin eating. after a hard day of training, she was actually looking forward to the meal.]

[Anything will taste good after a long day of hardwork...but now, he needs to start getting a little more specific with Casey's activities here since her arrival. He's not exactly the only one here from their world. ]

So, tell me how things have been for you so far since you arrived here.

It's still taking some time to adjust, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. I also met with the others from our world. They seem like an interesting group of people.

[that reminds her of something that she had meaning to ask him. in a way, she had been wondering how to go about this but she supposed it was better now then never.

so there were a few moments of silence before she finally speaks again, her eyes looking directly at him.]

One of them is apparently the acting Commandant for the Imperial Knights. Flynn Scifo.

[As he suspected. She was bound to meet them, especially with Raven around. He was already aware of the circumstances surrounding Flynn Scifo, but he'll look surprised by the news]

He's the acting Commandant? [...He glances down at his food, looking thoughtful] I see. The Empire has chosen well then.

[she's still observing his reactions.]

So you knew this would happen?

No, it never crossed my mind at the time....not until I arrived here.

Why was that?

...[He frowns, he looked reluctant to tell her the details]

Let me ask you this. Why or when would an Acting Commandant be required?

[there's a brief pause before she answers.]

The current Commandant has gone missing, resigned, or has died before a successor could be chosen.

Correct. In my case, the third scenario happened.

[that catches her off guard.]

—So you're aware that you...?

Yes. Hard to not know an event like that has happened to you.

[moment of hesitation.]

I wasn't sure if you were from that time or not. I'm sorry.

[He takes a moment to eat from his plate, pausing for a while before he speaks to Casey again, looking to her.]

It is all right. I simple ask that you keep that detail to yourself while you're here. It is not exactly a topic I want others to be concern about.

Of course. [the answer was prompt. Casey knew very well that it was not even her place to talk about such things without his permission—though she wouldn't want to to begin with.

however, there was still something troubling her. naturally, she didn't want to pry into his business, but even if she accepted the fact that he died without question, there was still the matter of how it happened.

so after a moment of silence, she finally speaks.]

Alexei. May I ask how you died? What happened?

[There was a pause, as Alexei considered her question. He had to choose his words carefully and perhaps he could gain a stronger hold on her]

I died in a difficult battle, to defend what I believed in.

A battle? Against whom? Where were the other knights to support you?

[Action]
