But why? How could you even think about bringing back the undead? Don't you realize what you did? What you've done?

Because I needed him to help me continue what we had both started. No one survived that war--Everything we had worked towards was gone in that instant!

If there was a chance to save even one person, I took that chance.

[just shaking her head as she stands.]

It doesn't matter what the reason, but to bring someone back to life like that is simply inexcusable. We gladly gave our lives for the cause. We knew that we would be facing death each time we fought. But a human's life is not something that should be used like another tool.

A noble and childish thing to say. You had already signed your life away when you joined the Knights. That only makes you more or less a tool.

...Is that really how you feel? What you believe? It is true that as a knight, I will follow your orders without question and sacrifice my life is necessary. But we are only meant to live once. I didn't have to try too hard. The power of the Empire fell to the Council and Imperial Knights when our last king had past away. My way was clear. To seek the world I desire, I had to be in complete power. Only then can true order and justice be found.

What kind of order and justice? What kind of world? Were they really the same as before the war?

Nothing has changed, the Empire continues to decay and so too does the world. The only solution for a rotting world is to completely wipe it away and create a new order.

I've learned that if you want to achieve something, sometimes you have to go to places others won't or wouldn't and break a few rules. If my goal leads me down such paths, then so be it.

what was she supposed to now? would she even come back here? how could she still follow someone who had performed such actions? would things still have happened the way they did if she had not died? could she have prevented any of it?

but they were foolish thoughts, things that she knew did not matter. everything was in the past—and in her case, the future—but even so, the young knight had a lot to think about.

Casey's bow should still be in her room, it wasn't brought into Luceti with her, it belonged to me.
