[Alexei was finally returning from his mission today, unaware of what's been going on the last two weeks he had missed. He knew of a draft, but that was about it.

He'll definitely be asking around what he's missed, but first he's going to go and grab himself a seat at the Good Spirits Bar for a drink. He could use one or two of them right now.

It's there that he'll flip open his journal, vaguely gathering what people were even talking about before closing it. He decides to ask whomever was nearest to him. Could be the bartender or could be just another customer.]

Has anything been happening the last two weeks?

[Once he's had his fill of information-- and a bit of alcohol, he'll go back to the journal again and...start complaining about various things into it.]

You would think that if the Malnosso can manage to take us off this planet, they could get us all home.

Just getting off the planet doesn't mean you can get anywhere. And there's apparently no stars up there to go to anyway, right?

...I didn't have the pleasure of being in the village when the draft was going on to know. Interesting.

That's what I've heard at least. It sounds pretty strange.

It is strange. I've never thought there be a world where there weren't any stars to see. It...can't be possible.

[I mean, you may as well say there aren't any other worlds then]

Though it backs up the whole thing about us being stuck here. If there's no stars, there's no way any of us is in our home universe, right? Unless you're from some weird universe without stars, I guess...

It leads to question about what this place is. Yet another additional mystery to this world.

[Why can't things make sense for once?] That aside, I heard there was a terrible storm going on as well.

Yeah, that was pretty bad. It's probably a good thing half the town was gone for it.
