[Alexei was finally returning from his mission today, unaware of what's been going on the last two weeks he had missed. He knew of a draft, but that was about it.

He'll definitely be asking around what he's missed, but first he's going to go and grab himself a seat at the Good Spirits Bar for a drink. He could use one or two of them right now.

It's there that he'll flip open his journal, vaguely gathering what people were even talking about before closing it. He decides to ask whomever was nearest to him. Could be the bartender or could be just another customer.]

Has anything been happening the last two weeks?

[Once he's had his fill of information-- and a bit of alcohol, he'll go back to the journal again and...start complaining about various things into it.]

You would think that if the Malnosso can manage to take us off this planet, they could get us all home.

...All the ways in which they use us are sometimes still a surprise for me.

The limits of living here keep us from knowing everything. But yes - I still think it would be useful to have some sort of...collection of what we do know. We have a guide, but it is long and comprehensive to the point of being...overwhelming even for some who have been here as long as I have, let alone New Feathers.

It's a good and useful tool, but it doesn't answer questions when you talk to it.

That would depend quite a bit on what's going on during a cycle. Sometimes New Feathers arrive in the midst of some other, less usual flavor of chaos.

But having a specific discussion about it on at least the skeleton of a regular basis would help everybody. In my opinion.

[The inflection she adds at the end implies that she doesn't consider her opinion more valuable; it's just the only one she has to work with.]

Some questions may have...difficult answers.
