[Voice/Action] 016 - Backdated 4/14 -4/15

[4/14 - Voice]

[It was already getting dark outside by the time Alexei had put an end to Ganondorf. It was a difficult battle, even with Ganon not at full strength, but he did it. Now he's stuck in the mountains, too badly injured to even manage a walk back to the village. He's pretty sure he broke a few ribs after taking that punch, so he's not sure what'll happen if he doesn't get help soon. He shifts his body where he laid, trying to find something, but also trying not to agitate his injuries any further.

Did he even have it on him...? He sure he brought it just in case. Ah, the journal fell out some point during the battle, just a few feet out of his reach. It'll take him a moment move himself over there, but he'll finally put out a message. The journal's camera simply picks up the ceiling of the cave.]

Ganondorf has been taken down...He is a threat no more. [ There's sounds of movement as Alexei tries to keep himself from suffocating. It's rather difficult to breath and talk after being punched in the chest]

I...could use some assistance. In the mountains. [He ends the transmission there. The important part of the message was broadcast, now he just conserving energy until he gets a response.]

[4/15 - Voice/Action]

[It'll be the afternoon of the next day, when Alexei wakes up from his ordeal. He had been changed out of his uniform and wearing a hospital gown now. Bandages were wrapped around the middle part of his face. He's not able to leave the bed, much to his disappointment, but at least he can talk to any visitors that come through and check his journal. Speaking of.]

...Good afternoon, Luceti. This is Alexei, and I am the one who finally defeated Ganondorf. [A beat.] I wanted to take this moment to give my thanks to those of you who were involved in stopping him, your valiant efforts are what made his defeat even possible.

It is unfortunate that this victory is only a temporary one, but we now have the time to take proper action should he try something like this again upon his return.

[OOC: The rescue part has been reserved to Asbel, Caius and Daisy, though you are free to still talk to him and/or check on the situation o/]

[Nala... Well, that ruled Asbel out. He knew he wasn't any good at healing.]

Alright... The two of you, let's move out.

If I get anymore comfortable, I will start to think something is wrong.

[He looks to Miyabi, carefully observing her.] I appreciate just having someone to talk to, someone who keeps people's spirits high.

...Someone who is also very good at telling stories.

Same thing, to my understanding. Think of it as a wearable version, or a mobile inhibitor.

[Oh...w-well, that certainly does put a little smile on her face, and big blush, too. Were her stories really that good? It's only just a hobby, though! Mrs. Seal was much better at telling them...]

Eh, uhm...eheh, thank you. Would you like to hear one now, then? I can try and think of a good one that you'll really like.

[Upon gathering the gear, SPARTAN-023 sets it on the rutsack on the lower back of her armor to carry, and follows.]

Understood. I'll be treating him on the way. When one of you gets tired, I'm taking over your position. Priority is to reduce the pain and keep him from bleeding out from his other injuries. Alexei should help as well.

Alexei, we're on our way.

[She moves on with the rest of the group, assisting them in paths that could be harder to manage and to go through, serving as a ladder, moving rocks, among other things. Every once in a while, she stands fully straight to spot Alexei.]

[Stop selling yourself short, Miyabi.]

If it doesn't take too much of your time away, I would love to hear one.

That's rather useful. I'm assuming there's also a mechanism on it that stops the wearer from trying to take it off?

[Putting the collar on is one thing, but what about keeping it on?]

[ Tenten's just as distracted. How can someone so sensible be ...a total pain in the ass. ]

That's sick! I understand the sentiment, but, if people do not want to fight, they aren't obligated to. That's why people have people that fight for them, otherwise everyone would be on their own for that and that'd be chaotic, and not a good idea. [ Madara would have the entire world enslaved. ]

[This whole rescue mission seems so organised and intense. It's almost kind of cool to him, in a way.]

If you need extra help I'm sure I can carry Alexei by myself. [He's sure he could handle it, if he transformed.] Then the two of you can look after and check on him at the same time.

[As they move as a group, Caius will be doing his best to follow any directions given to him by Daisy or Asbel. They both seem to know what they're doing, more so than he does, so he'd rather follow along than risk messing up something this important.]

Unfortunately, he didn't seem too concern about whether it was the right thing to do or not. A number of people tried to stop him before I reached him. I'm sure they tried to reason with him, but it was proven futile.

[He's sitting on what Tenten had said earlier.] I have the impression from you that he was normally not like this?

[Alexei is listening to them, but says nothing for the time being. If they want to check on his condition, they only need to ask.

When they do find the cave, Alexei will be laying inside a ring of icicles. They're leftover from when Alexei used Guardian Frost to slow his condition from getting worse.]

Does this have anything to do with why the animals were acting weird the other day? I could tell that something was wrong, but I wasn't sure what it was. I should've done more... I shouldn't have just sat around and ignored it. I should've helped fight too.

Oh, of course not, I'd love to tell a story! Eh...I just need to figure out which one... [She knows quite a few, and she can never remember which one she's told, and to whom. Finally, after a few thoughtful seconds, she nods her head.] Okay, I think you'll really like this one - it's about a young boy...a young boy who drew cats.

Once there was a boy who loved to draw. His name was Joji. Joji grew up on a farm with lots of brothers and sisters. The others were a big help to their father and mother. But not Joji! He did nothing for hours but draw in the dirt with a stick. And what Joji drew was just one thing. ...Cats.Cats, cats, and more cats! Small cats, big cats, thin cats, fat cats! Cats, cats, cats, cats, cats.

“Joji,” his father told him, “you must stop drawing all those cats! How will you ever be a farmer?”

“I’m sorry, Father," he said. "I’ll try to stop.”

And he really did try! But whenever Joji saw one of the farm cats go by, he forgot about his chores and drew...another cat.

[Jade had been trying to track Ganondorf down himself when he saw Alexei's transmission on the 14th. He opted to slam the book shut without replying, frustrated at having missed out on the big kill.

But the next day, he responds.]

Did you now? All by yourself? My, congratulations are in order! Will you be getting some manner of plaque or medal? Perhaps a statue, saluting who certainly is Luceti's greatest hero?

We're lucky people here do not abide to senseless destruction.

[...Why does he have this feeling someone was being sarcastic? Especially when it's coming from Jade.]

I have no need for such praise. The man needed to be taken down or otherwise continued to be a threat in Luceti. There was no glory in it.

Most likely. He was using the animals to fight for him.

[A beat.] It matters not now if you could have or could not have helped. The problem has been dealt with, but he will return within a week's time. If you want to do something, then concern yourself with his return.

You think he'll try to do the same thing when he gets back?

[That's concerning.]

He was the one who was making all the animals go insane, right? [Hard to not notice that. He had been a bit too busy with a bear that had suddenly snapped back to his senses when Alexei had made his first post so he hadn't seen it right away. At least he had known enough by the time he did that Alexei had gotten the help he needed.]

Yes, he was. [Hello Vash. How goes life without donuts?]

I'm assuming you ran into some trouble with them?

Nothing I couldn't handle. You doing alright?

The man was ruthless. If he desires it badly enough, I can see him try again.

[There's a pause and he puts another thought into consideration.] Although we might be fortunate and the Malnosso could take away his powers as punishment.

We might be, but I don't think we can count on that. I guess we should start making preparations, just to be safe.

... what about the tunnels? They block people from being able to use magic or anything like that, right?

...I will recover from this ordeal. [He hopes he'll be able to continue fighting once he leaves this place.]

He was a difficult opponent, even when he wasn't at his full strength.

[Alexei listens to her as she starts to tell her story. This one seem rather whimsical than the last one.]

That's quite an obsession his son has. He might be better off running a cat nursery.
