[Voice/Action] 016 - Backdated 4/14 -4/15

[4/14 - Voice]

[It was already getting dark outside by the time Alexei had put an end to Ganondorf. It was a difficult battle, even with Ganon not at full strength, but he did it. Now he's stuck in the mountains, too badly injured to even manage a walk back to the village. He's pretty sure he broke a few ribs after taking that punch, so he's not sure what'll happen if he doesn't get help soon. He shifts his body where he laid, trying to find something, but also trying not to agitate his injuries any further.

Did he even have it on him...? He sure he brought it just in case. Ah, the journal fell out some point during the battle, just a few feet out of his reach. It'll take him a moment move himself over there, but he'll finally put out a message. The journal's camera simply picks up the ceiling of the cave.]

Ganondorf has been taken down...He is a threat no more. [ There's sounds of movement as Alexei tries to keep himself from suffocating. It's rather difficult to breath and talk after being punched in the chest]

I...could use some assistance. In the mountains. [He ends the transmission there. The important part of the message was broadcast, now he just conserving energy until he gets a response.]

[4/15 - Voice/Action]

[It'll be the afternoon of the next day, when Alexei wakes up from his ordeal. He had been changed out of his uniform and wearing a hospital gown now. Bandages were wrapped around the middle part of his face. He's not able to leave the bed, much to his disappointment, but at least he can talk to any visitors that come through and check his journal. Speaking of.]

...Good afternoon, Luceti. This is Alexei, and I am the one who finally defeated Ganondorf. [A beat.] I wanted to take this moment to give my thanks to those of you who were involved in stopping him, your valiant efforts are what made his defeat even possible.

It is unfortunate that this victory is only a temporary one, but we now have the time to take proper action should he try something like this again upon his return.

[OOC: The rescue part has been reserved to Asbel, Caius and Daisy, though you are free to still talk to him and/or check on the situation o/]

I'm glad you're alright. Sounds like he had some pretty strong magic. How did you get by that? [Gathering info to be ready for when he comes back? You bet.]

I assume. It makes mention that it can be dangerous to remove, due to the backlash of the wearer's powers returning. You'd think there'd be a safety feature, in that case.

That's awful. [ It took the entire village to bring him down!? And she wasn't there?! ] I can't believe someone could legitimately be that powerful against a whole village of people and they can be so malicious with the application... [ She sighs. It's always the most charismatic ones that are morally bankrupt. ]

I'm not sure. I don't know him all too well but I did know him as reasonable. He told me others aren't worth my time if they don't think men and women are equal, and that attitude was pretty refreshing. But, come to think of it, he was awfully interested in a legendary artifact from my home world... [ You have Tenten thinking, Alexei. ]

His magic was nearly depleted by the time we fought. From what I've heard though, close combat was out of the question as he created a barrier to keep his enemies away. Fighting magic against magic was somewhat effective against him.

That's right.

I was also made aware of a second option. The Malnosso apparently have a special collar that can also nullify abilities like the tunnels can.

A barrier, huh? [Something bullets probably wouldn't be able to get through. That would be a problem for him.] So magic was only somewhat effective and most close combat was pretty much a no go. Sounds like a pain in the butt.

Hm. So there's even a flaw in that option. Although with someone as dangerous as Ganondorf, we may not need to worry about ever removing it.

[...Still] In case such a situation does come up, do you think removing it in the tunnels might help? Since the tunnels already hinder unnatural abilities with little negative effects, it could possibly lessen or null the side effects of the collar, if it was removed in the tunnels first, rather than in an area where our powers are normally allowed.

[...It's still a little eerie to him that Ganondorf did share similar views about certain things in the world. He can almost guess what Ganon was really after with said artifact. Makes him wonder how he might have turned out if he had wielded all that power Ganon had. Yes he gain high social standing, but it's nothing compared to the power Ganon had.]

What sort of legendary artifact was this, if you don't mind me asking?

That's only half of the problem. He could turn himself into a monstrous beast as well.

[Once the group arrives at the location, Asbel's the first to run over to check on Alexei's condition, crouching down next to him to get a look at him.]

Alexei, sir! Are you alright?

[Daisy's movements are instinctive as she sets the litter by Alexei's side. Very carefully, nodding in synchronization with the rest, she nods them to direct him to the litter, before preparing to rise him.]

We need to keep him laying on his side and resting so he can breathe. Use Nala's gift and the first-aid equipment we got to soothe his pain on his ribs and treat his injuries.

Well, this news just keeps getting better and better. Hopefully when he gets back he'll at least not be able to do one of those things still.

Potentially. It could be tested on someone else first, to see through any concerns of that.

You think they would give us one if we asked for it? Or maybe someone could use points from missions, but I don't have any of those myself.

[Miyabi laughs, snickering quietly behind her hand. Now, that would be something, but the story doesn't go quite like that...] Ehehe, that would be something! But I'm afraid his parents had other thoughts.

“Joji will never make a farmer,” said the farmer sadly to his wife.

“Maybe he could be a priest,” she told him. “Why don’t you take him to the temple?"

So the farmer brought Joji to the priest at the village temple. The priest said, “I will gladly teach him.”

From then on, Joji lived at the temple and he priest gave him lessons in reading and writing. Joji even had his own box of writing tools, with a brush and an ink stick and a stone! Joji loved to make the ink the most. He poured water in the hollow of the stone, he dipped the ink stick in the water, then he rubbed the stick on the stone...and there was the ink for his brush! [Miyabi mimes the actions with ease and precision. She knows how to do all this with her eyes closed, being an artist herself - using an ink stone all but religiously.]

Now, the other students worked hard at their writing, but not Joji! With his brush and rice paper, he did nothing for hours but draw. And what Joji drew was just one thing. ...Cats. Cats, cats, and more cats! Small cats, big cats, thin cats, fat cats! Cats, cats, cats, cats, cats!

A powerful weapon, that, in our world, was perfected and created by a guy who sealed a giant demon inside the moon. [ Does that answer your question, Alexei? ]

You would think the Malnosso would punish him more severely considering he was after them. I just hope one of us will find him before he goes into hiding when he returns.

You'd think they'd just take all his powers away, but I suppose then he wouldn't be a very useful "solider" for them either.

I have a few, but I doubt it is enough for an item capable of such an ability. I'd be shock if the Malnosso even approves us having one.

[Experimenting! That's exciting.]

Do you think the Malnosso would even offer us such an item?

[...Sure did.] Considering how he was acting, I can see why he might have been interested in that artifact.

[A pause.] I don't believe I caught your name during this whole discussion. May I ask for it?

Oh... then maybe we should just stick to using the tunnels instead. At least we know for sure that those will work.

[Caius gets into place to help lift Alexei onto the litter when he needs to be moved. If he needs to use any first-aid equipment then he only does so after watching someone else work first so he gets an idea of what to do.]

You're gonna be okay, Alexei.

I'm glad he didn't obtain it. I recall one swing by itself back home lighting an entire forest on fire... I shudder to think what he could do with it here. [ She briefly shivers. ]

My apologies, I must've forgotten to introduce myself. I'm Tenten! It's nice to meet you!

[Alexei could faintly hear their footsteps as they reach his location. What a relief, to be hearing their voices.

He braces when they started to move him onto the litter. Damn it hurt, like his insides were going to burst, but he bares it the best he could. This isn't exactly the worse thing he's gone through.]

Good...that's good. [He's tired, the throbbing pain was just enough to stop him from thinking of sleep.] Heh, I guess...our training sessions will have to be placed on hold.
