[There's an awful lot of noise coming from Alexei's room, mostly of metal clanking against each other and the sounds of footsteps. It was muffled a bit like a badly tuned radio when heard through the journal. Occasionally he would start mumbling to himself, but nothing anyone can pick up besides "No, that's not it" or a "hmmm". At some point it'll all go quiet, then a chuckle could be heard, faintly.]

Heh, almost-...[there was silence and then footsteps, getting louder and louder. Suddenly, there was a loud THUMP...not a sound could be heard afterwards]

Still, that last sound wasn't a good sound. And the last thing he needed was to get blamed if someone went and killed themselves here.

So one of your floormates will be knocking on the door, if there is no answer, he'll just barge in.]

[Minamimoto is actually in his room for once. This is a floor up from Alexei. He is listening intently to the sounds he can hear a floor below, but he doesn't have much reason to cease with his delicious math-work here. ..Yet]

More the sudden stop of noise followed by a loud thump.

[The sounds down below are not as loud as it was before, just some scraping sounds now. Alexei seems to have taken note that people might be listening in. He only just realize his journal might also be picking up sounds and dealt with the issue, hence the loud thump.]

[Good, a nice passive neighbor. Minamimoto doesn't even like people to be aware he lives in this complex - it's debatable if anyone even knows he does so far - so this is an improvement. At the same time though... he was considering teleporting down to that floor to troll it up. Choices, choices]

[Things never go smoothy for anyone except him when Minamimoto is involved. He pauses and then... well, shrug. This equation s much more interesting anyway than whatever noise is going on down there, for now. If someone else causes a clamor as a result of this noise though, well, he'll reconsider. Probably. And now I stalk other threads ho ho ho]

Hm, there's nothing interesting at all about it really. Simply doing a bit of housekeeping. I'm afraid my act of muffling the journal might have cause others to think it was something...more drastic.
