[Action] 008

[After a week of absence, the Malnosso have decided not to drop him where they found him, but somewhere in the northern part of town, unarmed and far from his room. Wonderful. He looked physically all right from a distance, maybe a little malnourished, but he was able to wander through the village without help. Except he kept stopping and looking around, as if he was unable to recall where exactly he was.]

Heh, just tell me where exactly the shops are located. I can find my way back to my room from there. [No, he doesn't feel like mentioning he might be catching something. Just tired that's all, tired.]

You don't know?

I can do better than that. Come with me.

...It's been a while, or I just may not have been on this side of town. [he simply nods and does so]

[Nami's going to take you to where the shops are, all right. She's quiet on the way, but when she gets there:]

Okay. When was the last time you ate?

...[Good question. He wasn't even sure what day it was or how long he had been away] It's apparent I haven't been well fed, isn't it?

All right. I'm gonna get some stuff here. Then I'm taking you home and making you a sandwich. [At least.]

...[he gives her a gentle smile.] Thank you, but food will do just fine. I don't want to trouble you any further then I already have.

Hey, you troubled me enough by vanishing for the last couple weeks. You know how worried I was? The least you could do is let me make sure you're okay.

[There's a mildly surprised look on his face. Worried? When was the last time anyone told him they were worried about him? How is he suppose to respond to that....H-He also just doesn't want a whole lot of people to know where he lives.] ...My apologies for causing you to worry then. Is that how long I was gone?

Don't apologise. And yeah. Two weeks and two days, to be exact. It was ...a while, considering.

[Picking up a loaf of bread. You have no choice in the matter, Alexei. But if it makes you feel better she won't tell anyone where you live. |D]

...I didn't realize it had been that long. I lost track of time. [Gosh, make it harder to consider Nami as just a tool why don't you. And yea it does...for how long is the question] Has anything happen worth noting during my absence? [Why is it always business with him? Even in his current state?]

Whole bunch of people have been kidnapped lately. And ... those letters turned out to be a wild goose chase. Though whether accidental or deliberate depends on who you ask.

[Nami knows the always-business type. She used to qualify as one herself, dontcha know. |D She's going to get some really simple sandwich fillings, and then looks Alexei up and down.]

...you don't look too bad. I do know a doctor though, if you think you need one.

Letters...? [Give him a minute to remember] Ah, so the letter I found, others have received it as well?

[...ah, after dealing with the Malnosso, he doesn't want to be examine. So he simply shakes his head]

I believe some rest and food will fix this.

Yeah. Everyone got one. The portal that turned up ... just dumped people back in Luceti in random places.

[Keeping it simple. And yeah, she thought that might be the case and he is walking by himself.]

All right. I'll make you something to eat, and then I'll leave you alone to rest. Promise.

[Well now they're starting to get annoying. He nods]

All right. [Has bag of simple food, will travel.] Lead the way.

...[Well, all right, just this once. He thought about moving anyway after finding out where Raven lives. It'll take a while before they reach Community Building 5. Now we have stairs...great. Well, up to the fourth floor then and to room 14 then. His room was just how he left it...cept that most of the books in the bookshelf had fallen off and the doll he had receive was still missing of course. Papers were still scattered on the desk, journal tossed onto the bed, his small selection of swords on the left wall and still looking surprisingly tidy.]

[She'd make an offer to tidy up, but she's already come to the conclusion that's a bad idea. She'll try not to gawk too much for exactly the same reasons.

Okay. Sit down and try not to fall asleep just yet. I won't be long.

[Please don't. He'll do it himself when he's not feeling out of it. He just nods and sits himself on the bed, deciding he'll look through the journal and read up on a few entries while he waits]

[Making you the most basic of basic sandwiches here, Alexei. If you haven't been eating there's no point making you sick. She's gone quiet again, and will leave Alexei to his journal-reading until she comes back with a sandwich on a plate.]

...[Alexei must have doze off for a moment, because he didn't respond to Nami right away, nor look at her. There will be signs of life when he reaches up to take the plate from her and then a glance.] Thank you. [Eating now. Basic is just fine. Anything's probably taste like heaven right now after what the Malnosso was feeding him anyway.]

Heh. Welcome back to Luceti? [...hey look, there was almost no sarcasm there.]

...[he smirks at that] And I didn't think I would ever be glad to be back here.
