[...Someone is slowly regaining consciousness and finding himself someplace he hasn't seen for god knows how long. Alexei has been tossed back into Luceti, left sitting up against a building near the barracks, where he had been previously taken. It's probably a community building. Once he could feel his arm, he presses his hand against his forehead. He had this horrible headache, and it was making it difficult for him to focus or even move. Any sort of movement just felt disorientating.

So rather then battle against it, he'll just sit there for a moment and hope it'll soon pass. He may as well just look through the journal and say-...he frowsn, deciding to write instead.]

Can someone tell me what today's date is?

[...He forgot that Mayoi lived alone. He slowly shake his head, and then writes something "Happen near the end of last month".]

Last month. [she thinks. Last time she saw him was when they were cleaning the bakery.] Wow...that is a long while. Don't they usually happen for a couple weeks. [She kind of feels bad for nearly not noticing his absence.] Well no wonder you were hardly able to stand on two feet. But, don't worry. By tomorrow I'll make sure you can compete in a marathon stretching all across Luceti and even get in first place! Provided you are the only racer however.

[He simply smiles, with a nod. When they enter the house, he's going to find the closest room and collapse on it...well sit on it at least. Kind of rude to just fall asleep like that.]

[she giggles a little. He was so obviously tired, but it looked like he was just trying to deny himself of it.] I'm going to make something to eat. Do you want some soup or a sandwich or maybe some spaghetti?

[He'll write it down for her. "Soup". Something easy to go down and then he can rest right afterwards]

Okay! Soup it is!

[Unfortunately, Mayoi only had one type of soup in her pantry. That cardboard ramen noodle kind that's popular in her world. It's been sitting around there since the giant snowstorm a few months back, but now it will be put to use. So she'll be boiling up some water and putting the soup in, along with the special flavoring. Soon Alexei may begin to smell the scent of the MSG induced 'chicken' flavor.]

[Pfff, well it smells good enough. Though, he's probably going give her a strange look when he sees the actual food itself.]

Alexei, it's ready. Do you want to come out and eat or should I just bring it in there?

[she'll put the bowl on the table (carrying it hastily because it's pretty damn hot) and look at it. The noodles look soft enough and the liquid is a sandy yellow color. It isn't anything nutritious, but it should calm his nerves enough for him to sleep]

[He opens the door at the sound of her voice.] ... [Think he spare a little walking distance. He comes into the kitchen and takes a seat at the table. He stares curiously at the food in front of him. Hn..simple.]

[Looking at him, she feels like he's being a little resistant.] Sorry if it isn't fine dining or anything, but a lot of people in my world seem to enjoy it. [usually because they have no money to buy anything else.] It smells overpowering at first, but you get use to it. For now just eat it so you can try to build up strength again.

[...He nods. Food is food, and right now he'll eat just about anything. He starts eating a bit of the noodles.]

[Well, it's not bad...or good. Is this really what she eats?]

[No not really. Ghosts don't exactly need to eat, after all.] Does it taste bad. I only recall having it once as a little kid, but it's really popular where I come from. People are always buying packs in the bulk of them in the supermarket.

...[He waves his hand. It's so-so. He's concluded the purpose of this type of food is to be made quick and eaten with least amount of time waiting for it too be finish. Quality is not a factor. He leans back in his seat when he has finished, looking to Mayoi with a nod. Thank you.]

[She takes his nod with a small smile. She'll take it as a "good job" or something like that.] You should go rest now and I'll clean up. [she picks up the bowl and something pops into her head] Now that I think about it, nobody knows you're here, right? Should I go tell them?

[Alexei stands, considering her question.] ... [He shakes his head, strongly against it.]

But don't you want people knowing where you are? I wouldn't want them to plaster your face all over milk cartons in panic wondering whe--

......or is that you're embarrassed about people knowing I'm helping you?

[He frowns. Thankfully he still had some spare paper he had tore out of the journal with him. So he'll just write. "It's neither." Well maybe a little of the second, but not the point here. "I've been gone for almost a month. Why would it matter to anyone now?"]

Maybe because you were gone for a month they should care more than usual! Plus you lost your voice too -- how can this not be important?!

["I would like some peace and quiet." The font was a bit more bold since he was pressing more firmly on the pen. "They can wait."]

[Mayoi is still very much against the idea of Alexei still being 'missing' for the general public, but she begrudgingly decides to accept it. He'll be out of here tomorrow anyway.]

Fine, I won't tell anyone. I'm only doing this because you are really worn out, but I'll probably tell everyone tomorrow then.

[He pitches the bridge of his nose. Does she not understand, no means no? He sighs, and just...starts walking back to the room to get some sleep]

[She understands but she's worried. Plus if someone comes to her house and sees him inside they're going to be asking questions! Well at least the possibility of them hearing him through the journal is impossible.]
