[Sitting on a bed in one of the rooms in CB1, Alexei was quietly looking through and listening to the contents of the journal he had found when he woke up. It was all he had to work with after waking up where he shouldn't be. He shouldn't even be conscious to comprehend that he wasn't. He should be dead, but this pain...it was all wrong. He had so many questions swimming through his head when he found himself alive, but he needed to be careful.
He had no idea what he was dealing with yet or what sort of people were here. He placed the journal down off to the side, with a blank page open. This book was the quickest way to get his answers, but he was still rather suspicious of it. It can write, speak and even show who was communicating...what magic was behind it? He picks up his writing utensil. He'll have to be careful how he writes and where his position was from the journal, if it was capable of capturing images of the communicator. He didn't want to be seen or heard yet. People could be out for his head for all he knew.]
From my observation I can see that this journal is a type of communication device. As to how, I don't quite understand. Books should not be able to write on its own, or speak or make images appear. Can someone explain to me how this simple book has been turned into a form of communication? And what other capabilities does it have besides recording sound and image as well?
Can I assume that people who are using this are residents of this strange place? If that is the case, then I would also like an explanation as to where I am and who thought it would be funny to install wings on me. I also woke up without my equipment. What has happened to it? Who is in charge of this place? If this can contact them, I demand answers.
[A pause]
Please. I appreciate any information that can be given.
[ooc: Note, no one can see Alexei through the journal. He's suspicious of letting his identity known to complete strangers right now.]

Very inquisitive. That's a good sign, I think! Welcome to Luceti- my name is Maes Hughes and I'd be glad to answer any questions that I can.

Thank you for responding, Mr. Hughes. So you call this place, Luceti? Where is it exactly?

They way you described them, are you saying they are not the ones responsible for us being here then?

How polite ♥
You strike me as a man who can handle a fair share of reading, this (http://wise-maiden.livejournal.com/24338.html) should certainly suffice.

A guide? I heard there was one, but I couldn't locate it. Thank you.
[Written] aklfjadslf;kjalfk SORRY that was supposed to be someone, I wasn't paying attention askjlfa
It's a slow day over here, if you've got any questions beyond that I could take a crack at them.
[Written] LMAO IT'S OK. I wasn't sure about that, but now I know it was accidental ^^
It says here that we have a war on our hands? I don't know how long its been since this was written, but what's the situation right now?

[...cause it was definitely not snowing at home]
Also, I notice an interesting list on the guide. A list of various individuals here that are considered [there was a pause] dangerous. Do you know who compiled this list?
[Because for some odd reason, his name is on it]
[Voiced forever for Takano, Written forever for Alexei]
[There's an odd pause after his next question, though.]
Ah ... a list? May I see this list, please?
no subject
Of course. [He presents the list]
So you have never noticed this list before?

[...this was very odd. He can see clearly his name, despite it being crossed out. What did it mean though? Couldn't mean he was dead, he was alive right here!]
It's rather helpful list, although it's disappointing to see there are even conflicts within this village even when there's apparently a war at hand.

[light giggle goes here, and then continuing on]
It doesn't surprise me to see such a list though! The more a settlement grows, the more dangerous it becomes to live in, after all -- even if greater danger lies just outside our little prison.

Is there such existing law enforcement here? And I mean a proper one.
no subject
A proper one ...? No, I'm afraid not! Only these little ragtag groups of warriors.
no subject
[He's so very disappointed...and he notices Brave Vesperia is one of those ragtag groups listed...so now he knows some people from home are here as well.]
Thank you for answering all of my questions so far. There is one other thing I would like to ask. Journal filtering, how does one go about doing that?
no subject
[Filtered; 20%]
You can make it as low ...
[Filtered; 100%]
... Or high as you want! [gigglegiggle] As for starting it ... [insert directions here]

Thank you for that information. You've been rather helpful answering my questions. Your name, miss?

Renato. A pleasure meeting you, Miss Takano.

The pleasure's all mine! [gigglegiggle] Do you have any other questions?
