I have a few curious questions. If you're comfortable sharing your thoughts, I'd like to hear a little about the other kinds of experiments people have experienced here. What was the worst experiment you've been through, what experiment seem the most harmless to you?

The experiment that occur this past week was my first here in Luceti, so I'm rather curious to hear some interesting stories of people's previous experiences with these experimentation.

And also, how many of you actually like being here?

[A little later on in the day, after Alexei has finish pondering and talking to people through the journal, he decides to go and check on Casey about something. Finding that she wasn't in, he goes back to his room to call her through the journal.]

[Voice-Filtered to Casey - 95% Unhackable]

Captain. I have a request for you.

[Action]

[After all of this, Alexei can be found lingering near the Welcome Center in the Plaza. He was not in his disguise at this point, as he was there to meet with someone]

[after another quick examination, she enters the information before stepping back.]

...That should do it. But where does it appear? Inside the room?

I believe that will be the case. [After making the final alterations, one of the doors open int a chamber]

Shall we?

[she nods and enters the room, looking around with great interest.]

...This is amazing! To think that one could create a simulated room just like that.

[He grins as Casey enters the room. They were in a forest environment that had at least a clearing in view. It was...incredibly realistic that he couldn't tell it was all fake. So far, nothing was coming after them just yet.]

Yes, it's astounding. [The bow Casey had asked for suddenly appears before them. Slowly, he reaches for it. It was solid in his hand, like a real bow was actually sitting in his hand. He then offers it to Casey.]

I still find this so hard to believe...[her voice trails as the bow just appears. she looks at it for a moment before taking it from Alexei.] Thank you.

[she takes a brief moment to feel the weight of it in her hands before giving a small nod.] It's not mine, but it will do.

[He nods as he draws his blade.] Get ready.

[Footsteps of a large creature was heading towards them. It soon revealed itself as it entered the clearing. A Brucis roar it's battle cry, clawing the ground as it prepares to charge at them]

[she stands firm, an arrow already notched and ready.]

I'll cover you!

Right!

[The Brucis wasn't going for Casey, seeing Alexei first and more of threat to him. It charges right for him as Alexei uses Raging Ice Fang to slow the monster down so he try to get behind it. Bits of ice flew all over the place as it rams the row of ice in front of it]

[she notes its actions and runs along until she finds a suitable opening before releasing several arrows to further distract the beast.]

[Distract the beast it did, now it's rearing its head to find the source of the arrows as Alexei charges towards the beast from the side and strikes it several times before knocking it back with Ill Wind.

The beast looses its footing, as Alexei prepares a spell. It won't stay like that very long though. Roaring furiously, it sees Casey within it's sight and prepares to charge towards her]

[she quickly observes the situation, noting Alexei's stance and the beast now charging at her. but she has no fear. she knows that she must preoccupy the beat and keep its attention on her until Alexei finished his spell, while also keeping it within range.

so she stands, her arrow notched and aimed squarely at the beast as she waits for it to come closer. as soon as it had reached a certain point, she released the arrow, another already taking its place as she fired it. it was only then that she moved away with space to spare, her eyes never leaving the beast as she ran to the side.]

[The beast tossed its head furiously when those arrows hit it squarely in the head and chest. It rams right into the tree that was behind Casey as Alexei unleashes Thunder Blade down on the beast, stunning it.]

Now's our chance!

[as if on cue, Casey skids to a stop, arrows once more at the ready. whatever technical arts she knows, she'll be using them now in conjunction to whatever attack Alexei is about to dish out. ~~downside of not knowing a character's skill set.~~]

[~~Casey barrage!~~ While Brucis was being bombarded by Casey's arrows, Alexei will be attacking it close range with his own artes. This left Brucis unable to counter the bombardment until it finally had enough and releases its overlimit, knocking Alexei back several feet.

The Brucis wasn't finish though and flies up into the sky to get a better view of the battlefield. It then dives right for Casey]

[at first she is concerned about Alexei, but seeing as he was all right, her attention returns to Brucis—which had taken to the sky and was now diving right toward her.

she immediately jumps back and away, the bow—being a transform bow as she had specified—changing into its bladed form. she immediately bring it to the front, parrying and defending herself as she continues to try and keep her distance.

if she can keep its attention on her, it may give Alexei another opening.]

[The Brucis continues charging after Casey in its fury. There was nothing that could stop it while it was in it's berserk state. It tries to ram into Casey in hopes of sending her flying.

Alexei meanwhile was trying to get to where Casey was to deter Brucis' attention to him. He can only hope Casey can hold up until he was close enough to sent a Raging Ice Fang on Brucis.]

[unable to move out of the way fast enough, she holds up the blade as defense. she's able to block most of the impact, but it still sends her flying backwards. she quickly reorients herself while in mid-air, the blade once again changing into a bow as she quickly lets fly a few arrows from above before she starts her descent back down.

for a simulation, the force was a lot more realistic than she originally anticipated.]

[He couldn't wait to make sure Casey was ok, as he rushes in and strikes with Apocalypse Toll. That definitely turned it's attention back to Alexei. He sidesteps when the beast reared its head towards him as he strikes at Brucis again. It tries to ram Alexei again and the cycle repeats.

Frustrated it decides to charge at him. Alexei raises his blade and braces. He wasn't going to win in the battle of strength, but he could at least slow it down and keep it distracted. All Brucis could do now was keep pushing Alexei back until one of them gives out. That or until Apocalypse Toll finally detonates.]

[she in turn took the opportunity to use a few more bow skill artes. but was this thing ever going to fall!? she knew Alexei wouldn't be able to hold out like that forever.]

[It was a good thing Apocalypse Toll came into effect soon as it did. It knocks the beast down, now in a weakened state. Alexei takes a moment to recover, while Brucis struggles to get up. This was it, he raises his blade one more time and sends another Raging Ice Fang attack at Brucis--]

[—and Casey helps finish off the blow with a few attacks of her own at the same time.

with a roar Brucis falls and lies still, and she takes this time to run over to Alexei.]

Did we kill him?

...

[After a bit of the waiting, the monster soon disappears into data.]

I believe we have. [The scenery soon disappeared into data as well, Casey's bow included and they were now standing in a plain room.] Astounding...[He was glancing around the now plain room, clearly amazed at how flawless the simulation was and then looks to Casey]

Are you all right?

A little winded, and the blow was more realistic than I expected, but yes, I'm fine.

What about you, sir?

No major injuries sustained here as well. This battle system has proven to be quite useful for training purposes. It feels realistic enough at least.

It is rather amazing technology. I'm glad we came to investigate it.
