[Action - Morning]

[It's around mid-morning on the 27th when the Malnosso finally decided to drop Alexei back into Luceti. They weren't nice enough to at least drop him in his nice, warm, comfy bed and instead drops him on the cherry blossom tree near where Miyabi lives. Alexei hasn't realized where he had been dropped, because he was still unconscious, lying limply on the branches. ]

[Afternoon into Evening]

[Later on that day, once he found his way into town, Alexei can be seen at some of the shops, trying to locate his personal items and clothes. Those who know him will notice something was different with Alexei, he seem younger in appearance. He still had a few twigs and leaves after his ventures to get out of the tree and still rather disorientated about his situation. It just...sounded ridiculous what he was told. But the wings remind him that there is probably some truth to what he has been told. Damn wings need to stop hurting.

Alexei can be found in the general, clothing and smithy store during most of the afternoon. Closer to the evening, he'll be found in the Good Spirits Bar, looking around to have a chat with any of the residents here. So he may come up and grab your attention. When things quiet down, he'll bring out his journal, skimming absently through it...turning it over a few times.]

[Voice]

How does this journal actually work...? [The journal picks up his question that he didn't intentionally mean for anyone to hear. He was just thinking out loud.]

[OOC: Alexei has been temporarily de-aged to around his mid 20s. 24ish I put him down as. He doesn't remember his time in Luceti this time around, believing he is a "new feather". All responses will be done through

destinedtofall and information about his young self can be found on there too.]

Any explanation is better than none-- [As he tries to reach for Miyabi at the next branch, but he misjudges the distance just a bit and his feet barely touches the branch.

And...now he's starting to fall backwards.] --!!

[Oh gods. Miyabi squeaks and makes a quick grab for Alexei's arm, to try and haul him back up onto the branch before cruel, cruel gravity has a chance to drag him down. Sadly, Alexei is much larger and heavier than the teeny young painter, and despite her excellent sense of balance, she slips off the branch herself and plummets downwards with her friend.

At least the fall isn't nearly as high as before? 8Da;]

EEEEEK!

[Well, this is just great. They're both falling, and thankfully no the ground wasn't too far away. Instinctively, Alexei pulls Miyabi closer to himself, protecting her from hitting the ground.

There was a loud thump as he hits the ground. He makes a sound, but tries not to scream when he felt a surge of pain go through his body. Since he landed on his back, that meant his wings did not take to that fall very well. Well now that proves those things really ARE attached to him.]

[What is he--oh gods, no. No, no, no...damn, he's going to land on his back, that idiot! She tries to wriggle free, shove him away and maybe, possibly, grab a branch or use her brush to soften the snow under them - cushion the fall a little - but it's no use. They fall, and while Miyabi land with little impact at all, shielded by Alexei's body, she can just feel him tense under her, and escapes his grasp with a horror-stricken expression.

Oh gods, oh gods, oh gods--]

Alexei! Are you okay? Did anything break?! Don't move!

[Ahaha...he can't really move even if he wanted to. He's going to be feeling like this for a while, extreme pain and nausea.]

I'm...[Well, not dead at least. He can't even hide how much pain he was in, cause damn that fall hurt. These wings--] I....think I'll be fine in a while. [He can't say if he did break anything, but it sure feels like it]

[Not dead is a good sign, yes. 8|b Miya likes Alexei being not dead. But the least she does after getting off him is stay by his side and fret. She doesn't know much first aid or healing magic of any kind, just different kinds of medicinal plants and herbs and stuff.Anything beyond that is away from her level of knowing.]

I'm sorry! I'm so sorry you got hurt! [Yeah, she's totally wibbling now, eyes filling up with tears.] I said I wouldn't let you fall, but you did, and I'm so very sorry!

[Oh god, Miyabi. Why are you getting so emotional over a complete stranger?]

Don't be...that was my fault, all right? I mis-judged the distance. [He's going to shift onto his side...because his wings getting squished is VERY discomforting. Suddenly exposing them to the open air released a large amount of pain though.] ...I'll be fine. I just fell in a bad position, but the pain will pass.

[He's not making it very convincing he's going to get better, wincing everytime he tried to move.]

[Because SHUT UP, that's why. Only not really - Miyabi's just glad he's not even worse off than he could have been. Though she's also kicking herself mentally again and again for not being quick or strong enough to prevent him from falling. That, and that she can't even do anything to ease his pain at all. She really does have to get in contact with the spirit of healing as soon as possible.]

But it was my tree you fell out of...my land. I'm responsible for what happened. [She hunches up her shoulders.] And you...you even tried to protect me too...and got hurt. You shouldn't have done that! I can land fine on my feet from that height! Just...just stay here for as long as you need, and I'll take you to the clinic later, to make sure nothing sprained or broken.

Heh. Well you're not responsible for dropping me into that tree in the first place. [He shakes his head and then smiles reassuringly.] And I'd be a terrible knight, if I couldn't protect others.

[After laying still for a bit, he tries to move, but...that prove to be a painful experience, so he goes back to laying still.] I...I don't think I broke anything, but these wings...

[She's still frowning, not entirely convinced what happened isn't her fault, but she doesn't say anymore. She should still have been more help! Even if it wasn't her fault, she should have been able to do more than just sit here and wait until he feels better. That's just...unacceptable.]

Mm? Oh, yes, our wings... [She turns, pulled from her thoughts, and flaps her own wings, the light catching off them and making the feathers shine in an array of brilliant colors. Hummingbird wings.] Every person that comes to Luceti gets them. Uhm...a-as you experienced, if you injure them in even the slightest way, it causes intense pain. Losing one can leave you bedridden for days. If you happen to lose both...

[She trails off, biting her lip. Yes, now you see why she was so worried?]

...Ah, I see. [He does now. What a nuisance these wings were. Well, he refuses to just let these ridiculous wings dictate him, so what is he going to do? Try and sit up. It's a bad idea, he doesn't care. He'll be sitting up momentarily, wincing at every bit of pain he felt from moving. He presses his hand onto the ground to keep himself from laying back down again.

It'll pass, just give it some time and it'll pass.]

[Oh, Alexei. You're as stubborn and pigheaded as a certain artist she knows. Not quite as bad, but still annoying. Annoying, at least, when she begins to worry twice as much. With a squeak and a flap of her own wings, Miyabi jumps at his movement and his pain, leaning in closer in case he falls or something.]

Oi! You shouldn't have--! Alexei, you aren't right to move yet! You should just lay still! I can call a healer to come out in just a minute, please don't move anymore. I just need my journal and I'll make someone come out to check on you. [Because gdit, you should at least get some painkillers of...or something, man.]

Heh, that...that won't be necessary. [HE CAN DEAL WITH THIS. He feels nauseous, but he'll DEAL. He takes a minute or so to catch his breathe. It helped lessen the pain a little at least.]

I'm not going to let these wings keep me down.

...Stubborn. [That's just so...so...bah! It's just like someone she knows not to take a bit of good advice and seek help when you really need it! Such an idiot! If Alexei weren't already in pain enough as it is, Miyabi may have just bopped him right on the head.]

If you're sure of that, then I can't change your mind. Just...don't strain yourself.

[A wry smile] Stubbornness is what helped me achieve the things I've done.

[A pause to re-adjust how he was sitting] So, why don't you tell me how you know me?

[Ah...that sounds like someone she knows. Two, no--a lot of people she knows, counting the ones in Luceti. Two from Nippon. Miyabi sighs and shakes her head, before her smile before exasperated. Ah...of course. She has to explain. Drat.]

Eh...it's going to sound crazy, but I promise it's true. Uhm. Th-This place is called Luceti. It's a place outside of your world, or mine. I don't know exactly where it is, but the people running it, the Malnosso, are the ones that take us from our own worlds and keep us here - to uhm...e-experiment on us. [That always sounds so terrible every time she says it.] That's why we're given wings. They're kind of like a symbol of this place. Everyone has a pair, and I...a-already told you a little about them...

Uhm, but how I know you specifically is that, eh--...I-I knew an older version of you. He was here before [he was kidnapped and obviously returned as this Alexei.] and I was friends with him. Ah, that's another thing! Luceti can take people from different places and events in time from their worlds. Like I met the older you before, and I'm meeting the younger you now.

D-Does that make sense...? [She herself still doesn't quite get it. So. Yeah.]

.......[He opens his mouth to say something and then reconsiders for a moment.]

No it doesn't, but considering how things are right now...I'll take your word on that.

[Miyabi can't help but laugh, though it's a nervous giggle. Ah...she's not at all surprised Alexei doesn't understand her, it really is a difficult concept to grasp. It was actually rather hard for her to even explain it, to be perfectly honest.]

Eh...hehe, I'm sorry I couldn't be more clear. It's not something even I myself really understand. Forgive me. But I promise you what I say is the truth. But enough of that, how are you feeling now? [If he's well enough to move, she can at least walk him to a place or empty house where he can get warm and stuff. She can even prep a meal.]

[Well he'd like to ask about his older self, but he suppose that could wait... He tries to straighten up a little in his sitting position.]

...it still stings a little, but not as bad as a moment ago.

Are you well enough to move? You shouldn't stay out in the cold like that...you'll get sick. [Which isn't exactly a step up or down from being injured, so. 8| Miyabi will, of course, off her hand, or her entire body, she is rather puny, as a crutch. Alexei can lean on her if he needs.]

The clinic is a bit far, but there may be an empty house somewhere close. [Or maybe Nami's cottage? Miyabi's sure her big sister wouldn't mind - it's for a good cause.]

Are you sure we can just take it? [He considers her first question for a moment. Whether he can or not, she's right about him needing to move somewhere inside. So we're going to find out if he can stand right now!

He carefully kneels on one leg, preparing himself to stand. For the most part, he does manage to move, though he winces everytime his wings twitches from moving. He'll manage to stand after a moment.]

...And I can stand, for the most part.

It's fine. If it's empty, no one's using it. Rooms and houses here are meant to be taken like that by newcomers.

[The moment Alexei begins to shift into a sitting up position, Miyabi's on her feet and ready to give him a hand or stable him in case he begins to falter or wobble. She's never damaged her wings before through a fall or anything similar, but she knows that even the slightest bump or tug can be terrible, and getting things stuck in them through her travels in the woods when she's little...yeah, ow.]

Here, let me help. You can lean on me if you need to. [Yes, she is going to take your arm, goddamnit, and just try to stop her.] My friend has a cottage that's very close to here, if you want to use that for now. It should be empty, too.

[but but, Miyabiiii he can take care of himself, gosh.

But fine, fine he won't fight over you holding onto him.]

I see...then lead the way. As long as your friend doesn't mind it.

I'm sure she won't mind...she has a very good heart. It's this way.

[Miyabi gently tugs Alexei to follow her, taking a slow pace until they're down the slope of the hill. The mikan orchard really wasn't very far at all from the cherry tree hill - pretty much just "next door", really - but Miyabi still keeps her pace moderate so as not to cause Alexei any excess pain or discomfort. It should take long, though, and they eventually reach the little cottage in the midst of the orchard.]

Here we are.

[At first it was difficult to move properly, but once they got a little closer to the cottage, Alexei wasn't limping as badly. Concentrating on walking helped him forget a small bit of the pain.

He glances around the orchard and then to the cottage.]

Is this some sort of farming area?
