[4/14 - Voice]

[It was already getting dark outside by the time Alexei had put an end to Ganondorf. It was a difficult battle, even with Ganon not at full strength, but he did it. Now he's stuck in the mountains, too badly injured to even manage a walk back to the village. He's pretty sure he broke a few ribs after taking that punch, so he's not sure what'll happen if he doesn't get help soon. He shifts his body where he laid, trying to find something, but also trying not to agitate his injuries any further.

Did he even have it on him...? He sure he brought it just in case. Ah, the journal fell out some point during the battle, just a few feet out of his reach. It'll take him a moment move himself over there, but he'll finally put out a message. The journal's camera simply picks up the ceiling of the cave.]

Ganondorf has been taken down...He is a threat no more. [ There's sounds of movement as Alexei tries to keep himself from suffocating. It's rather difficult to breath and talk after being punched in the chest]

I...could use some assistance. In the mountains. [He ends the transmission there. The important part of the message was broadcast, now he just conserving energy until he gets a response.]

[4/15 - Voice/Action]

[It'll be the afternoon of the next day, when Alexei wakes up from his ordeal. He had been changed out of his uniform and wearing a hospital gown now. Bandages were wrapped around the middle part of his face. He's not able to leave the bed, much to his disappointment, but at least he can talk to any visitors that come through and check his journal. Speaking of.]

...Good afternoon, Luceti. This is Alexei, and I am the one who finally defeated Ganondorf. [A beat.] I wanted to take this moment to give my thanks to those of you who were involved in stopping him, your valiant efforts are what made his defeat even possible.

It is unfortunate that this victory is only a temporary one, but we now have the time to take proper action should he try something like this again upon his return.

[OOC: The rescue part has been reserved to Asbel, Caius and Daisy, though you are free to still talk to him and/or check on the situation o/]

[She pushes open the door slowly, and enters just as meekly, taking a look at Alexei, up and down. It really was for the best that he covered himself up, because she's already looking really upset as is - seeing the full extent of his injuries would have reduced her to potential wibbling.]

H-How are you feeling...?
inkdrops: (Uh... um... w-well)

[She nods quietly, and some of the tension in her shoulders drops a little bit - two weeks isn't that long, she tells herself. And he's fine now, so she should be happy about that, but still...it's disheartening to know she couldn't have done anything, and still can't do much now. She really, really has to get in touch with that healing spirit. Soon.]

Uhm..i-is there anything I can do until then? To make you feel more comfortable?

[Oh...w-well, that certainly does put a little smile on her face, and big blush, too. Were her stories really that good? It's only just a hobby, though! Mrs. Seal was much better at telling them...]

Eh, uhm...eheh, thank you. Would you like to hear one now, then? I can try and think of a good one that you'll really like.

Oh, of course not, I'd love to tell a story! Eh...I just need to figure out which one... [She knows quite a few, and she can never remember which one she's told, and to whom. Finally, after a few thoughtful seconds, she nods her head.] Okay, I think you'll really like this one - it's about a young boy...a young boy who drew cats.

Once there was a boy who loved to draw. His name was Joji. Joji grew up on a farm with lots of brothers and sisters. The others were a big help to their father and mother. But not Joji! He did nothing for hours but draw in the dirt with a stick. And what Joji drew was just one thing. ...Cats.Cats, cats, and more cats! Small cats, big cats, thin cats, fat cats! Cats, cats, cats, cats, cats.

“Joji,” his father told him, “you must stop drawing all those cats! How will you ever be a farmer?”

“I’m sorry, Father," he said. "I’ll try to stop.”

And he really did try! But whenever Joji saw one of the farm cats go by, he forgot about his chores and drew...another cat.

[Miyabi laughs, snickering quietly behind her hand. Now, that would be something, but the story doesn't go quite like that...] Ehehe, that would be something! But I'm afraid his parents had other thoughts.

“Joji will never make a farmer,” said the farmer sadly to his wife.

“Maybe he could be a priest,” she told him. “Why don’t you take him to the temple?"

So the farmer brought Joji to the priest at the village temple. The priest said, “I will gladly teach him.”

From then on, Joji lived at the temple and he priest gave him lessons in reading and writing. Joji even had his own box of writing tools, with a brush and an ink stick and a stone! Joji loved to make the ink the most. He poured water in the hollow of the stone, he dipped the ink stick in the water, then he rubbed the stick on the stone...and there was the ink for his brush! [Miyabi mimes the actions with ease and precision. She knows how to do all this with her eyes closed, being an artist herself - using an ink stone all but religiously.]

Now, the other students worked hard at their writing, but not Joji! With his brush and rice paper, he did nothing for hours but draw. And what Joji drew was just one thing. ...Cats. Cats, cats, and more cats! Small cats, big cats, thin cats, fat cats! Cats, cats, cats, cats, cats!

Ehehe, you'll see... If I gave it away now, that'd be a pretty poor story. [She clears her throat, then continues once again, looking up at the ceiling.]

“Joji,” the priest told him, “you must stop drawing all those cats! How will you ever be a priest?”

“I’m sorry, honorable sir. I’ll try to stop.” And he did try! But whenever Joji saw one of the temple cats go by, he forgot about his writing and drew another cat. That was bad enough, but then Joji started drawing on the folding screens of the temple! Soon there were cats on all the rice-paper panels... They were everywhere!

“Joji, you’ll never make a priest,” the priest told him sadly. “You’ll just have to go home.”

Joji went to his room and packed his things. But he was afraid to go home. He knew his father would be angry with him. Then, he remembered another temple in a village nearby. “Maybe I can stay with the priest there.” And Joji started out walking. It was already night when he got to the other village.

He climbed the steps to the temple and knocked. [She knocks her little fist against the wall, and then waits a few seconds in silence.] ...There was no answer. He opened the heavy door - creaaaak! It was all dark inside...

“That’s strange,” said Joji. “Why isn’t anyone here?”

He lit a lamp by the door... [Miyabi holds her hands together, channeling Eferin's power to form a very small flame in the middle of them, just for a minute, before it flickers out. She shakes the smoke from her palms and continues.] Then he saw something that made him clap! All around the big room were folding screens with empty rice-paper panels! Joji got out his writing box and made some ink. Then, he dipped in his brush and started to draw. And what Joji drew was just one thing.

...Cats. Cats, cats, and more cats. Small cats, big cats, thin cats, fat cats. Cats, cats, cats, cats, cats! [She shakes her head from side to side as she sings that little part, kicking her legs back and forth.] The screen he drew on last was almost as long as the room. Joji covered it with one gigantic cat — the biggest and most beautiful cat he had ever drawn!
Now, Joji was tired... He started to lie down, but something about the big room bothered him.

“I’ll find someplace smaller,” he thought aloud. He found a cozy closet and settled inside. Then he slid shut the panel door and went to sleep.

However, late that night, Joji awoke in fright.

[Miyabi drops her voice, then her eyebrow furrow together as she holds her hands up like claws, gnashing her teeth together and growling.] Rrrrrrr...! It sounded like a large, fierce animal in the temple! Now Joji knew why no one was there - he wished he wasn’t there either! He heard the thing sniff around the big room. It halted right in front of the closet. Then all at once...
