[You know, Alexei has been bedridden for a while. He needs to be getting out more and be active. Which is what he's going to be doing today. So anyone who happens by Community Building 5, will find Alexei training.

If not, later in the day he'll be around the shopping district of the village...gathering some supplies from the various shops there. Supplies for what though?]

[Mayoi is walking around the village after finishing her final check up. No more nurses that smell like grandparents and annoying doctors for her! She couldn't be happier, so she is surprisingly in a very good mood for once in a while. So she continues walking around the village, not feeling like going back home yet, and notices Alexei near the building. It looks like what he's doing is dangerous, so instead of going up to him she's looking at him quietly from a distance.]

[mutters] Well it looks like he's better from when I saw him before..

[Alexei will not notice Mayoi just yet then. He had been striking at a nearby tree with his blade, as there were markings on the trunk where he had hit it. Then he would return to striking at the air with various movements of his blade and body. Each time he did hit the tree though, the mark cut deeper then the last. At one point he hits the ground with his blade, causing icicles to raise and move in a direction ahead of him...might go towards Mayoi, maybe.]

[Mayoi was lost in a daze of sorts, her concentration solely on Alexi's blade movements. She was amazed at anybody could make such deep marks into a tree. Then again, she wouldn't be surprised if a couple people she knew from back home could do the same thing.]

...Huh-

[and that's when she notices the icicles coming right at her.]

Aaaah!!!

[As soon as she sees them she lets out a yell, frantically jumping..or rather hopping out of the way. She's pretty much freaked out now thanks to almost dying. But now she's in full view of Alexi, not to mention that loud howl.]

-!! [Well that scream was hard to miss. Someone was here this whole time? He stops whatever he was doing and following the icicles, spots-...oh ffff. He's coming over to Mayoi now.]

[Mayoi is still a little traumatized inside, but when Alexi asks her if she's okay she responds in a rather rushed tone]

[When she finishes she covers her head again, still sitting on the ground, bracing for another attack]

Heh, it's just training to make sure all of my knowledge in combat doesn't go to waste. This village has remain steadily peaceful...but there's been a lot of noise around lately. Can't be too careful.

Noise? It's been pretty quiet from what I've been hearing. Although...I did remember hearing a couple people yelling from my journal.

We had a little incident recently with someone who was causing trouble for a handful of people. Probably won't be the last we'll hear of him. Have you heard of someone name Kefka?

[she thinks for a moment. She's met so many people at Luceti that remembering all those names becomes hard. But no matter what the name doesn't ring any bells]

I don't think I ever did. Did he do something bad?

He's killed one person and his most activity was most likely another attempt. I'm not sure what his motives are though.

[Mayoi seems to be acting a lot more serious than her usual self. the entire topic of death probably brought up something in her. Although the topic isn't pleasant for her especially, she wants to press for some more answers at least.]

Not permanent? Is it because of the Malnosso people.

Yes. They can revive you, but there is a catch. You'll suffer a loss of something important, a memory, one of your senses, just to list a few.
